2005/2006

During 2005 Anatec were requested to develop the maritime data website for three offshore renewable strategic areas.

2006/2007

Following from this in 2006 the project entered into a period of data management and upkeep. During this time the nautical charts were added to the system along with IMO routeing measures.

2007/2008

In 2007 the project was extended to cover the entire UKCS and a direct data download facility was added to allow users to download GIS data directly from the maritime data map.

2009

In 2009 all the data layers were updated and additional data sets added which were originally produced as part of the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change's Offshore Energy Strategic Environmental Assessment programme.
