Reload the GIS window, back to default position and scale.

Overview

Use this button to turn on and off the map overview in the top left hand corner of the screen.

Zoom In

Point and click to zoom out on a part of the screen or drag an area(hold down left mouse button) to zoom in on a selected area.

Zoom Out

Point and click to zoom out on a part of the screen or drag an area(hold down left mouse button) to zoom out on a selected area.

Zoom to Extents

Click this button to zoom out to the maximum extent(all UK).

Zoom to Active Layer

Click this button to zoom to the scale required to show the full extent of the active layers.

Back to Last Extent

Use this button to return to the previous scale(zoom level).

Pan

Use this button to move around the screen in any direction. Just click on screen and hold down left mouse as you drag.

Identify

Select this tool then click on part of the active on the screen to identify more information about the layer.

Query

Use this button to perform SQL queries on the active layer data set.

Find

This button is used to find textual information within the active layer data set.

Select Rectangle

Use this button to select all the objects of the active layer within a rectangular area draw on the screen.

Select by Line/Polygon

Use this button to draw a user-defined line or shape which can then be used to select objects of the active layer situated within the shape.

Clear

Use this button to erase user-defined objects drawn on the map.

Close

Use this button to close the GIS page.

Favourite

Add the Maritime Data site as favourite.

Print

Using this button you are given the option to "Create Print Page" and then can print the information shown on the screen.

Help

Export DDE

Export the selected data as a downloadable file.

Refresh

Refresh the GIS window content.
